Hunting Kyurem ch.9 Heritage of the Hero

I flew ahead of everyone, Mandibuzz to my right, Unfezzent to my left, Swanna behind me. Along with nearly 1000 screeching voices from all regions behind Swanna. The mountain was nearly in view when I could hear a loud roar. Then a shadow flew to the top of the mountain with something sqirming in each hand. He was going to eat them for sure.

I looked harder, it was a Zorua, and Karen! Now I had tofly faster then ever. Just has he was about to bite down. I could see her looking in my direction as I headed for Kyurem.

He turned around, wondering what she was looking at. That's when my talons spread out and grabbed onto his sholders. He roared at me and I flung me off. I charged back in to grabed onto his neck. I tried to lift him off the peak and throw him down the mountain side. He only went part way when he started to flap his wings and fly!

I screeched to Mandibuzz, Unfezzent, and Swanna to help. The three came flying in and lodged their talons onto some part to hold him down. I came for the nech again and we pushed him to the foot of the mountain. Just as he crashed we flew up to avoid impact. We were hoping that would be enough to knock him out. But he didn't looked scratched up when the fog cleared. Then he screeched up, possibly summoning something. And he was, a flock of shiny pokemon came in. Since when did Kyurem have a whole army of bird pokemon?

I screeched at them, to engage all hostiles, that's us. They all headed for us and most faced one on one, two on one, two on two three on two. It's mayhem, the pain of watching pokemon shoot others down from the sky with uproaring hyper beams.

"HYPER BEAM!!" I fire towards Kyurem. He dodges and flies toward me to fire more attacks. Mandibuzz flies in to attack as well.

"Get out of here Mandibuzz, he's mine!" I yell to her. I don't want them to get hurt from Kyurem.Then a flock of Swannas fly in around Kyurem's face to distract him. I thought it was a bad idea, but it gave me a good one. I soar back to the peak to get Karen and the Zorua. She seems startled, she probably doesn't reconize me. Sinced I evolved. But I take a couple steps forward and give her a short bow. Then I raise my neck to show my bandanna. I grabbed it when I left for the journey. She begins to take a few steps closer and holds out her hand. I know this trick, she's checking to see if it is me. I don't hesitate, to press my head against her hand. Would it be ok to talk to her?

"It's me, Rufflet." I telepathically say to her.

"Rufflet?" she whispers. "Why did you come for me?"

"I had to save you from here, I couldn't imagine life without you." I say back.

"Braviary..." she doesn't say anything else but wraps her arms around my neck. I rest my head on her sholder.

"Can you fly with me?" I ask her. She pauses for a minute, but lifts her left leg over my back and props herself on mm back.

"Zorua." she calls him. The Zorua hops on my back and goes to her sholder. I begin to charge twards the cliff edge and fly off. The flock of Swanna fly away from Kyurem when he heads towards me. If he wants to attack, me he better catch me. More of the shiny version pokemon come in and start attacking. I could see our flock begin to fall. I need to know where Mandibuzz and the others are.

Swanna was flying wih Unfezzent and they're being ganged up by two shiny versions of them Being chased into the forest below. Firing Hyper Beams all over. Jus tas they're trying to escape within the forest the shiny version of Dodrio fires a tri-attack to Swanna and Both above fire Hpyper Beam at Unfezzent.

Swanna flies behinds hin to sheild both attacks. She collpses on his back and he tumbles to the ground.

"Swanna!" he says runnign over to her. He strokes her neck until her body goes limp. He lays his head ever so gently to hers. His tears drip to her face.

I didn't know any of this was going to happen. I'm still high in the air. Kyurem flew after the flock of Swanna, after the flew in his face again to let me escape. There's three small microphones on my neck, one connecting to Mandibuzz, Unfezzent, and Swanna.

"Rogue two? (meaning Unfezzent) Do you read me?" I say into his. There's no answer.

"Rogue three do you copy?" (meaning Swanna) I say into hers. There's no answer. I realized that one was shot down and the other is possibly injured.

"Braviary!" Unfezzent says into his mic.

"I read you." I reply. In his voice is panic and he's panting hard.

"Swanna's dead. There's too many to break loose."

"Do not attack! Get out of there now!"

"Ok" he says. I 'm hoping he can get out of there. but the thought of Swanna and that she's dead is unbearable. Now it's only me, Unfezzent, and Mandibuzz.

"You have the heritage of the Hero." a voice says in my thought.

"What?" I ask back.

"On your right leg, you have the mark, it's a spiral that can protect you from the heaviest attacks. Use it well, Braviary." he says again. I bet that was the Braviary in my dream that had the army of bird pokemon too. So the Legend Lab was right, I am part of a legend. The Hero Braviary.

"Kyurem..." I say to my thoughts. "You best be ready. Because when I find you, I'm gona be ready, I'm gonna kill you!" I can't let Karen or Zorua get hurt. It'll be best to leave them where they won't get hurt. So I'm heading back to the mountain.

"Braviary what are you doing?" she asks.

"I have to handle Kyurem on my own. I can't risk losing you." I reply

"So someone was killed?"

"Yes, so I have to make sure you, or the others are next." I finsih

"Bu-" she begins but I slide her off my wing and increase my my speed and head straight for Kyurem.

He looks at me. His pupil-less eyes don't scare me. He flies up at me.

This could be it.
