Goodbye?

Marvel's POV

I enter the Justice Building, along with Glimmer and aour escort. We're separated into seperate rooms. We have a chance of saying goodbye to our familes. I'm not expecting anyone coming to come visit me. My little brother is dead, my mother is hooked on morphling, and my dad doesn't give a damn about anything. A Peacekeeper comes in,

"Marvel, there's a visitor for you," he says, strictly.

"Who?" I ask.

"Your father," he says. Well, this is a shocker. Since when did he want to become a parent.

"Fine, let him in." I accepting his invitation, on what condition.

"Hello, Marvel," he says, emotionless.

"What do you want?" I sigh. Please make this end already.

"You better go out and win, don't get distracted by anything. Don't let Glimmer be an annoying brat-" he begins. I hold my hand up.

"I might as well stop you right there! No! I won't be distracted by anyone, I don't need advice from a sudden appearing father. Get out!" I snap.

"I only want you to come home-" I cut him off again.

"Shut up! All you want from me is the fame of being father of a victor. Riches so you could whip me around like you did before! You can go out and buy acohol for yourself and morphling for mom. Get out!" I angirly clench my fist. He pauses, stair into my green eyes. Full of rage, I turn my back to him.

"You should be going, this goodbye is done." I say.

"Still, come home. If you can," he says more calm.

"Well, when I do, I quite family!" I raise my hand dismissing him. His foot steps leave me, exit and the door closes. Thank god that's over with.

Jennifer's POV

How could this happen? Out of everyone, why me. Just when life became enjoyable, this occurs. Why? I didn't realize my day dreams brought away from reality and I'm in my own room in the Justice Building. Any visitors? I ask myself peering out the window.

A voice comes from outside,

"Hey! You can't go in there!" it must be a Peacekeeper.

"Get off me!" another voice says, I regonize that voice anywhere. The door opens, Hunter. Tears ball out, I rush to him. Clutching him so tight, he grunts when I grab him, he wraps his arms around me, never wanting to let go.

"I'm sorry, I should've volunteered," he says choking up.

"That would have made things worse, I wouldn't want to hurt you in any way, neither would you," I sob into his shoulder.

"Listen to me, you'll be just fine. There may be Careers, but you can have a weapon, they'll underestimate you at first, just show them how." his encouraging words touch me so hard.

"How? What if there is no axe, I'll be nothing." I reply.

"You know how to make one, I know you do, just remember-" his voice is cut off by a Peacekeeper

"Alright! Time's up!" he eagerly wants Hunter out. He grabs him by the arm and hauls him away. I never got to hear what he had to say. Now I never will. I lay my head into my hands and begin to cry.

Rue's POV

All five of my sisters come in to visit me, followed by my mom and dad. I was worried he wouldn't show. They all surround me, I'm forever grateful, they've come to say there goodbyes, I'm only twelve, I'm too young to fight a Career, I'll surely be dead. By any point, there'll be no ally for me.

"Ok, you got this, you might not kill. But you can outlast them, run fast, climb high trees, scavenger food, you can win this. My parents encourage me. Ally and Luna don't seem to have much to say. I wouldn't blame them, I'd be too shock to say anything.

"We'll be rooting for you, throught every step. We love you," Ally finally says something.

"I love you guys too," I say. Give them all one more goodbye hug. Then a Peacekeeper comes and shoos them away. That might have been the last time I'll ever see them.

No, not now, not my sister. Please

"I volunteer!"

"I'll try to win, I promise," I kiss her forehead.

"I'll see you soon Kat-"

This is my Hunger Games, and I'm not looking forward for it.
